The Georgetown Garden Shop welcomes designer Libby Cameron on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at 3214 O Street NW to sign her book, Notes From a Decorator’s Life. Enjoy a free, cozy evening if you just love being in a beautiful room, and want to get a head start on holiday gifting.

A Decorator’s Decades in One Beautiful Book

Cameron began as a protégé of the legendary Sister Parish, spent 14 years at Parish-Hadley in New York, became a partner in 1989, and opened her own firm in 1995. Her 240-page book from Gibbs Smith covers color, pattern, upholstery, collaboration, and sustainability, making the case for rooms that feel comfortable and tell a story.

A Georgetown Shop Made for Browsing

Landscape designer Caroline Cobb Ervin opened the shop on O Street, stocking planters, garden accessories, vases, table linens, candles, and Brown Jordan outdoor furniture. Come ready to shop, since the evening invites guests to sip and browse while Cameron signs.

Who Should RSVP Now

Design devotees, gardeners, hosts with a holiday table to set, and anyone hunting a thoughtful gift will feel right at home. RSVP now! The window runs just two hours on a weeknight, so plan your commute. Make an evening of it with dinner nearby (our take on 1310 Kitchen is a good place to start).

The Georgetown Garden Shop sits at 3214 O Street NW, a short stroll from Wisconsin Avenue. Admission is free, and copies of the book will be available to purchase and have signed. Kindly RSVP through Paperless Post. Regular shop hours run Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Call (202) 450-1305 with questions.
