A Local Maker Market Lands on the Southwest Waterfront
Founders Enica Barnes and Mahammad Mangum launched Neighbors DC as a pop-up that championed Black-owned and independent brands. Now the idea has a holiday home at The Stacks, Akridge’s riverside Buzzard Point community near Café UNIDO, Colette, and The Byron.
What to Shop at the Winter Showcase
Shelves stretch from art, paper goods, vintage finds, and vinyl to DC-branded gear, jewelry, plants, home goods, kitchen essentials, and wellness and bath products. Translation? Workshops Give the Trip Another Reason
Pair a shopping run with one of the weekly workshops and pop-ups. Cocktail nights run from 6 to 8 p.m., with Shaken and Seasonal on November 6, Hot and Spiked on November 13, and Batch and Bring on November 20. Wick and Mix pairs candle making with cocktail basics from 1 to 3 p.m. on November 14 and 21. Permanent jewelry pop-ups land November 7, 14, and 21 from noon to 4 p.m., plus November 13 and 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.
