Lulu’s Winegarden, the Southwest-inspired wine garden at 1940 11th Street NW, becomes Lulu’s Wine(ter)garden from November 18, 2026, through January 10, 2027, for its fourth annual holiday pop-up. Head here for a festive group night that feels warmer than the forecast.
Desert Traditions Glow Across Heated Garden Patios
A winterized patio like this makes a strong case for heading outside. The owners draw on their desert hometowns, and local Bee Inspired Events helped deck the space with pine garlands, luminarias, chimineas, and cactus Christmas trees. The back patio has a retractable awning, heat lamps, live fire, and woven blankets.
Order the Christmas Enchiladas Before the Season Ends
Chef and partner Cable Smith (Insta@) serves his hometown tradition, beef and cheese Christmas Enchiladas smothered in red and green Hatch chile sauces, in individual portions for dine-in guests. New soups include Tortilla Soup and Ancho Lime Tomato Soup with a Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese for dipping. Oh, and… yes please! The Grilled Carrot Salad with Hatch chile harissa returns too.
Bring a Crowd for the Shot-Mas Tree
Holiday cocktails arrive in festive glassware, including a Gingerbread Old Fashioned, warm-spiced coladas in Santa glasses, and brown butter-washed toddies. Groups can order the Shot-Mas Tree, a mini tree hung with ornaments filled with spirit shots. Gift shoppers can pick up a Lulu’s Wine Club membership with two or four bottles a month. The sad thing is that you’ll have to wait until November 18, so details may shift.
Lulu’s sits at 1940 11th Street NW. Hours run Tuesday through Thursday from 5 pm to 10 pm, Friday from 4 pm to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 8 pm. Wines by the glass are $14 and single bottles are $61, while holiday cocktail prices are not yet publicly listed. Book on Resy before tables (and enchiladas) disappear.
