As the snow blankets the streets of Washington, DC, and its neighboring areas, a silver lining emerges for food enthusiasts. The Metropolitan Washington Winter Restaurant Week, initially set for a shorter duration, has now been extended, offering a delightful reprieve from the winter chill.

Continuing now through January 28th, over 140 restaurants across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia will continue serving great deals, thanks to the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW).

Since 1920, the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington has been the voice and advocate for restaurants and the food service industry in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. RAMW is dedicated to promoting growth and development in the industry while providing its members with essential resources and support.

Another Week to Taste DC

This extension doubles the celebration of our vibrant restaurant industry. Participating restaurants are set to offer specially priced menus, making this an unmissable event for every food lover. Whether you’re in the mood for a cozy brunch, a leisurely lunch, or an elegant dinner, there’s something for everyone. Prices are as appetizing as the menus, with brunch and lunch options available for $25 or $35 per person and dinner menus from $40 to $65 per person.

Why the Extension?

The decision to extend Restaurant Week is a thoughtful response to the recent snowy weather, which understandably kept many diners at home. “This extension is not just about offering more time to dine out,” says Shawn Townsend, President & CEO of RAMW. “It’s about our commitment to the well-being and enjoyment of our restaurant community and its consumers. It’s a chance to showcase the resilience and adaptability of our industry.”

Diners are encouraged to visit the official Restaurant Week website, www.rwdmv.com, to explore menus and make reservations. Look for the bright green check mark indicating participating restaurants. The list is growing as more restaurants eagerly join to extend this promotion.

Look now to Sunday, January 28th, 2024, and prepare to indulge in some of our region’s best culinary experiences. For more details on participating restaurants, special menus, and operation hours, visit www.rwdmv.com.

Winter Restaurant Week is a celebration of food and a testament to the robust support system within the hospitality industry—sponsors like Bumble, Campari, and Skyy Vodka – make this possible.

So, Washingtonians, as the snow continues to fall, let it not dampen our spirits. Instead, let’s embrace this extended opportunity to celebrate our region’s culinary diversity. Bon appétit!
