Keith and Kristyn Getty return to the World Stage Theater at Museum of the Bible in Southwest DC for three nights of Irish Christmas music, the Family Carol Sing, December 18 through 20, 2026.
Northern Ireland’s Hymnwriters Headline Three December Nights
Christianity Today calls the Grammy-nominated couple preeminent hymnwriters, and Keith co-wrote “In Christ Alone” with Stuart Townend. Getty Music counts more than 50 of their songs among the top 500 sung in American and British churches. The Family Carol Sing retells the story of Christ’s birth with traditional Irish Christmas festivities, plus an intermission about an hour into the show.
The Evening Continues With a Lobby Pickin’ Party
After the concert, the Gettys host a live music pickin’ party with festive treats in the lobby, so plan to linger. The museum pitches the evening to children and grandparents alike, which makes it a strong pick for families planning a multigenerational holiday night out.
A Theater With a View Toward the Capitol
The 472-seat World Stage Theater sits on the museum’s fifth floor beside a two-story glass gallery overlooking the National Mall and the U.S. Capitol. Museum doors open at 6 p.m., leaving time to browse exhibits before theater doors open half an hour later. Assisted listening devices and flex seating are available. Our guide to the museum’s full live theater season covers what else is on stage.
Museum of the Bible is at 400 4th Street SW, Washington, DC 20024. Each concert starts at half past seven in the evening and wraps around 10 p.m. Tickets range from $79 in the balcony to $119 for Gold Circle seats, and code GETTYS15 saves 15 percent through November 19, 2026. Book on the museum’s event page, since these shows tend to sell out fast.
