Record-Breaking Fundraiser Draws 350 Guests to Ritz-Carlton DC

The Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation announced on May 5 that the 16th annual Great Ladies Luncheon and Fashion Show raised a record-breaking $850,000 for Alzheimer’s research, hosted at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. Over 350 guests attended. Philanthropists, policymakers, media figures, and cultural leaders filled the ballroom. The event ranks among the largest spring philanthropic gatherings in DC!

Lauren Miller Rogen and Mark Roithmayr Honored for Brain Health Advocacy

Lauren Miller Rogen accepted the Great Ladies Award on behalf of Hilarity for Charity, the nonprofit she co-founded with husband Seth Rogen to support Alzheimer’s caregivers and advance brain-health education. Former ADDF CEO Mark Roithmayr received the Estelle Gelman Award, recognized for years of expanding the foundation’s global reach.

NBC News anchor Andrea Mitchell moderated the annual Symposium to Conquer Alzheimer’s. Preventive Neurologist Dr. Kellyann Niotis and neuroscientist Dr. Roberta Diaz Brinton shared the latest research breakthroughs. Event chairs Elise and Charlie Lefkowitz, alongside Vice Chair Kristen Rae Cecchi of The Third Line Project, led the program.

Bloomingdale’s Runway Show Features Altuzarra Spring Collection

Guests were treated to a runway presentation in partnership with Bloomingdale’s, spotlighting spring looks from Altuzarra. Luxury gift bags and door prizes were donated by Balian Springs, Isla, and Barry’s. Lead sponsor Eli Lilly anchored the afternoon. Founded in 1998 by Leonard A. and Ronald S. Lauder, ADDF has awarded nearly $400 million across 792 drug development programs in 21 countries.
