The annual Fairmont Royal Ascot Garden Party DC recreates one of Britain’s most celebrated summer traditions, complete with world-class pageantry, high fashion, and exceptional fare. The festivities kick off ceremonially with an authentic Scottish bagpiper and a dramatic champagne sabering. From 3 to 4:30pm, guests enjoy bottomless Domaine Chandon and Hendrick’s Royal Ascot cocktails. Royal afternoon tea fare runs from 3 to 5pm, crafted by Executive Chef Jaime Montes de Oca and Executive Pastry Chef Lyndsey Barton with inspiration drawn from royal favorites. Large screens broadcast highlights from Royal Ascot’s iconic Ladies’ Day. Luxury vehicles from Land Rover of Alexandria line the grounds, while life-sized royal cutouts invite whimsical photo opportunities. Guests in hats, fascinators, and Ascot-inspired attire compete for prizes judged by celebrities. Milliner Elena Wittman of ArtofHats Studio presents the art of hat-making, offering headpieces for purchase alongside styling insights. At 5pm, winners of the best attire contest receive overnight stays, Sunday brunch, cocktails, and curated gift bags courtesy of Fairmont and Land Rover of Alexandria.
