Pascual DC brunch is officially the new Sunday move on the Hill!
A Wood-Fired Mexican Bistro Earns Its Stripes
Pascual is the wood-fired Mexican bistro from Chefs Isabel Coss and Matt Conroy. Notably, it opened in February 2024 under The Popal Group, the DC Afghan family-run hospitality group behind Lapis, Lutèce, Maison, and LaPop. Since then, Pascual has stacked up serious accolades. For instance, The New York Times named it to the 2024 list of America’s Best Restaurants.
Additionally, Eater DC crowned it Best New Restaurant of 2024. The Michelin Guide added Pascual to its DC selection. In 2025, Robb Report also named it one of the top ten Best New Restaurants in America.
What’s on the Sunday Brunch Menu
Brunch runs every Sunday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Moreover, the menu leans into Coss’s Mexico City roots and the kitchen’s signature wood fire. For starters, the Mushroom Poblano Omelette arrives with rajas and hollandaise. The Milanese de Pescado pairs dorade with pickled jalapeños. The Huevos Rancheros stars chorizo and queso cotija. The Chilaquiles Verdes is finished with crema and queso fresco.
For dessert, the Fruit Plate comes with arroz con leche and pumpkin seed granola. As for cocktails, the Flor de la Manana mixes blanco tequila, Italicus, lavender, and white pepper. In addition, the Rhubarb-Pomelo Spritz blends sparkling wine, grapefruit, and gin.
Why Pascual Matters
Named for San Pasqual, the patron saint of cooks, Pascual reflects fire, flavor, and heritage in equal measure. The 2025 RAMMY Awards named the restaurant a finalist for New Restaurant of the Year, and both Coss and Conroy were James Beard Award semifinalists for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic. Reservations are available on Resy.
The Washington Lobbyist champions the chefs, neighborhoods, and openings shaping how DC eats. Book your table, bring a friend, and taste why Pascual is the brunch reservation everyone wants this season!
