Theatre Week 2026 makes it easier to see more live theater for less!

Discounted Theatre Tickets Go on Sale September 9

Theatre Week 2026 returns September 24 through October 11 with $25, $45 and $65 tickets to more than 30 productions across Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Tickets go on sale September 9 through the official Theatre Week website. The three-week celebration gives longtime theatergoers and first-time audiences an affordable entry into the DMV theater season. Popular performances and weekend dates should sell quickly, so planning ahead matters!

Major DC Shows and Free Events Fill the Calendar

The 2026 lineup includes Come From Away at Ford’s Theatre, Measure for Measure at Folger Theatre, Some Like It Hot at Olney Theatre Center, Merrily We Roll Along at Signature Theatre and Brian Cox in The Score at Shakespeare Theatre Company. Families can book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom: The Musical at Imagination Stage. Free events expand the celebration with airport performances at Dulles and Reagan National, a September 29 concert at The Wharf and an upcoming Eastern Market Metro performance.

Theatre Week Supports the People Behind the Stage

Advocacy Day comes to Studio Theatre on October 5 with policy training, regional elected officials and a live City Cast DC taping focused on the future of DC-area theater. Participating theaters will also collect donations for Theatre Washington’s Taking Care Fund from October 1 through October 4. The Washington Lobbyist supports the artists and institutions that keep Washington creative.

Pick a production, invite someone along and help fill a local theater this fall! Theatre Week venues across Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Average ticket cost $45.
