Croix Brings St. Croix to Navy Yard
Croix opens Friday, August 14, 2026, atop the Cambria Hotel Washington DC Navy Yard Riverfront. The rooftop restaurant and Botanic Bar bring the food, rhythm, and generous hospitality of St. Croix to the waterfront near Nationals Park and Audi Field.
Corporate Director Keem Hughley and Chef de Cuisine Malika King lead a Caribbean-rooted menu shaped by Crucian tradition. Crucian means from St. Croix. Deep botanical greens, warm woods, brass accents, and layered textures give the dining room a polished island mood. Outside, open-air gathering spaces carry dinner naturally into sunset drinks.

The Croix Menu Begins with Crucian Tradition
Croix’s 25-dish dinner menu moves through five sections, with callaloo at the center. The national dish of the US Virgin Islands is served with fungi and pimento-smoked coconut oil. Other standouts include saltfish mille-feuille with salt cod brandade, johnny cake wafers, and pickled okra, plus cassava casabes, lamb ribs, sea bass with escovitch, and rum-soaked black cake.
The Croix menu gives familiar Caribbean ingredients a refined DC presentation while keeping their history close. Small plates encourage sharing. Larger dishes can anchor dinner. The format works for a date, a full meal, or a group gathering.
The Botanic Bar Defines the Rooftop
The Botanic Bar is anchored by a backlit wall of ten Caribbean botanicals infused in house.
Fever grass, cerasee, sorrel, soursop leaf, guavaberry, pimento leaf, and bois bandé become cocktails, spirit-free drinks, syrups, and tinctures. Seven signature cocktails sit beside three spirit-free selections, frozen drinks, Caribbean and local beers, wine, and a rum-forward collection.
Croix Veranda extends the experience outdoors with open-air bars, lounge seating, small plates, DJs, and skyline views. Come early for golden hour. Stay as the music builds. The rooftop is ready to make a night of it!
How to Visit Croix in DC
Croix is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4 pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 5 pm to midnight, and Saturday and Sunday for brunch from 11 am to 3 pm. It is closed Monday. The restaurant joins RowHouse in the hotel’s dining lineup.
