Chicago’s Giordano‘s has opened its first Washington location at 600 14th Street NW, putting the chain’s stuffed deep dish pizza a short walk from the White House and giving Lafayette Square a new destination for a family dinner or a casual date.

A 7,400 Square Foot Flagship Near Lafayette Square

Giordano’s opened June 9, 2026, in a 7,400 square foot space with seating for more than 180 guests, split between a 130 seat dining room, a 16 seat bar, a 20 seat seasonal patio, and a 20 seat private space called The Lincoln Room.

General manager Chieyen Meachem told WTOP the move made sense, saying steps away from the White House diners can get that taste of Chicago right in the nation’s capital. The location marks Giordano’s first restaurant in Washington and one of its largest builds outside Illinois.

Stuffed Pizza Headlines A Menu Built For Sharing

The menu centers on Giordano’s signature stuffed deep dish pizza alongside tavern style and traditional thin crust options, backed by Italian American staples like mozzarella sticks, calamari, chopped salads, and Chicago style Italian beef sandwiches.

Family style platters, including lasagna and fettuccine Alfredo, round out a menu built for groups, which makes the space work equally well for a family dinner after a day of sightseeing or a lively date night over a pizza built to share.

A Limited Edition Pizza Supports Veterans

Giordano’s DC debut includes a limited time item called the 250 Pizza, created to mark 250 years of American history, with proceeds supporting HonorFlight.org, a nonprofit that flies veterans to see the war memorials built in their honor. The charitable tie in gives the opening a Washington specific angle beyond the deep dish itself, and it fits a location built to draw both tourists near the monuments and downtown office workers looking for a sit down lunch.

Giordano’s is located at 600 14th Street NW, Washington, DC 20005, near Lafayette Square and the White House. The restaurant is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. or later, offering dine in, carryout, and soon delivery.
