Step inside Georgetown’s most captivating residences during the 92nd Annual Georgetown House Tour on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Hosted by St. John’s Episcopal Church Georgetown, this historic event offers a rare chance to explore the blend of history and modern living in one of D.C.’s most iconic neighborhoods. Proceeds benefit St. John’s outreach programs.
The celebration kicks off with the Georgetown House Tour Patrons Party on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Larz Anderson House on Massachusetts Avenue NW. This exclusive event features cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while supporting St. John’s ministries.
The self-guided Georgetown House Tour, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 26, will showcase homes highlighting architectural history and design brilliance. One featured property is the Junior League of Washington’s headquarters in the historic Loughborough House on M Street, noted for its restored Federal facade.
On N Street, a 1873 home reimagined by Anne Decker Architects blends modern design with history. Nearby, a 1890 home renovated with Ritz Paris inspiration boasts hand-finished plaster moldings, marble mosaic floors, and a marble patio inspired by the Luxembourg Gardens. Another N Street property, the Federal ‘Cox Row’ built in 1818, features reclaimed church windows and a stunning blend of art, antiques, and modern design.
On P Street, a 1869 home renovated by Architect Dale Overmyer boasts a seamless flow from the open main floor to a beautiful rear garden. The “Wisteria House,” built in 1860 for Alfred Lee, a freed Black man, showcases designer Danielle Naeve’s vision, blending modern and vintage styles.
A 1935 duplex on 34th Street has been dramatically transformed into a modern family home by architect Christian Zapatka and builder Greg Carlsen, featuring a rear extension and a unique contemporary style.
The tour begins at St. John’s Episcopal Church (3240 O Street, NW), where guests receive a House Tour Magazine with an interactive map and property histories. Admission includes the Parish Tea from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Blake Hall, featuring tea, lemonade, sandwiches, and desserts.
Since 1931, the Georgetown House Tour has raised funds for St. John’s outreach, supporting local and international charities serving homeless individuals, senior citizens, and others.
