Family Movie Night Turns an Outdoor Plaza into a Free Theater
The center’s Family Movie Night series closes its run on October 16 with The Nightmare Before Christmas on PenFed Plaza’s big screen. Showings begin at half past five in the evening, and admission is free. Guests bring folding chairs or blankets, then pick up a picnic dinner from nearby spots such as Barrel & Bushel, Shake Shack, or Earls.
The same events calendar also lists an immersive LEGO installation celebrating Fairfax County’s 250th anniversary, which stays on view through January 1, 2027.
The Fall Festival Fills the Plaza with Music, Games, and Barbecue
According to Tysons Corner Center’s event listing, the Fall Festival features live music from the Scott Kurt Band, a retailer market, face painting, fall games and crafts, giveaways, and a photo booth. PenFed Credit Union adds a backyard barbecue with mini golf, a haystack adventure for kids, and craft barbecue. PenFed members receive a VIP gift when they show their PenFed email invite or a PenFed debit or credit card.
Participating retailers and restaurants include Barrel & Bushel, Tiny’s Corner Play Cafe, Seasons 52, Lush, 7th Avenue, Rothy’s, and Egg-Cellent, with more names still to come. The event is free and open to the public.
Tysons Works as an Easy Full Day Trip from DC
Per Destination DC’s listing, the center offers more than 300 brands, 40 dining destinations, and a 16-screen AMC theater, and visitors can reach it by Metro’s Silver Line. And, there are new arrivals including Zara, Kurt Geiger, and a Maggiano’s with three new private event spaces for groups of 50 to 150.
