Fish Shop will throw its Harvest Moon Party on Thursday, October 22, a $75 ticketed fall night built around the fishers, farmers and makers behind its menu.
A Fall Celebration Built Around Local Purveyors
Featured purveyors include Forager Imports, Other Half Brewing, Don Ciccio e Figli, Double T Oysters, Moon Valley Farms, Dreaming Out Loud, Twin Bears Bakery and Tophat Baywater, with more names still being added. The evening takes its theme from the harvest moon and the abundance of the fall harvest, and the producer list doubles as the menu.
Oyster Shucking, Tuna Carving and Free Flowing Drinks
Guests work through food stations, specialty cocktails and Scotch tastings, with an oyster-shucking station and a tuna-carving demonstration running through the night. Live music plays alongside. Drinks are included in the ticket rather than charged separately, which is worth noting at a $75 price point on the Southwest Waterfront.
Why the October Trip to Water Street Makes Sense
Fish Shop opened at The Wharf in 2025 as the American sibling of the original Fish Shop in Ballater, Scotland, which earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand and the inaugural Michelin Service Award. The DC restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide for good cooking, and its Maryland crab crumpet carries the link between the two kitchens. Seafood arrives through a collective of day boats and short-trip boats working the Chesapeake region, which is exactly the supply chain this party is designed to show off.
The Harvest Moon Party begins at 6 pm on Thursday, October 22, at Fish Shop, 610 Water Street SW, Washington, DC 20024. Tickets cost $75 per person through SevenRooms.
