A Michelin star tastes even better at $65.
One Michelin Star, Three Courses, One Smart Price
Restaurant Month is back at Bresca, and Washington DC diners should move fast! From July 29 through August 30, the one Michelin-starred bistro on 14th Street NW offers a curated three-course menu on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays only.
Executive Chef and Partner Ryan Ratino and Chef de Cuisine Garrett Brower built the menu around peak summer ingredients and the signature dishes that have kept Bresca among the city’s most sought-after reservations for eight years. Consequently, this limited-time run is the easiest way to experience a Michelin-recognized dining room without a special-occasion budget. Regulars can revisit favorites. First-timers can finally see what the acclaim is about. Either way, the window closes August 30.
French Technique Meets Mid-Atlantic Ingredients
Bresca is rooted in classic French technique and inspired by Paris’s neo-bistro movement, pairing Mid-Atlantic sourcing with warm, effortless hospitality in a lively neighborhood setting. The restaurant has held one star from the Michelin Guide every year since 2019. Moreover, Chef Ratino stands as the country’s most Michelin-starred chef, with five stars across Bresca, two-starred JÔNT, and MAASS in Fort Lauderdale, plus the Michelin Guide’s 2023 Young Chef Award.
Sustainability runs deep here, too. In 2018, Bresca became the first carbon-neutral restaurant in the nation’s capital through ZeroFoodprint, weaving composting, recycling, and responsible sourcing into daily operations. That combination of pedigree and purpose is rare in DC dining. It shows on every plate.
What Is on the Bresca Restaurant Month Menu
The three-course menu ($65) opens with watermelon gazpacho with sweet corn and butter, or burrata and green tomato with cardamom, buttermilk, and Thai basil. Mains include brioche-stuffed chicken with whipped potato and Meyer lemon, or a dry-aged strip loin supplement for two. Basque cheesecake with triple cream, caramel, walnut, and gouda closes the meal beautifully! A four-course option ($95) adds ricotta gnudi and Australian Wagyu flank steak, while the seasonal tasting menu ($155) brings hamachi crudo, a “stuffed” chicken wing, and dry-aged duck with blackberry and cornbread.
Additionally, indulgent add-ons like Kaluga caviar, foie gras terrine, and yeast-and-honey rolls await, alongside wine pairings from $35 to an ultimate $395 tier. See the full menu here and reserve through Open Table.
