Annapolis just gained two of the most anticipated waterfront restaurants on the Chesapeake Bay!

Atlas Restaurant Group opened Marmo Italian Chophouse and Armada Dockside Cantina on July 16 inside the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, a Marriott Autograph Collection property perched directly on Ego Alley.

For DC travelers, convention goers, and weekend escape artists, the openings turn an already easy day trip into a destination-worthy one. The drive from downtown DC runs about 45 minutes. The payoff is dry-aged steak, hand-rolled pasta, and agave spirits with sailboats gliding past your table.

Marmo Serves Prime Steaks and Housemade Pasta Above Ego Alley

Marmo, an Italian chophouse, pairs hand-cut prime steaks with fresh pastas, charcuterie, and seafood, backed by a deep wine list drawn from Italy’s great regions. The showpieces read like a greatest-hits list: a 42-ounce dry-aged Porterhouse, squid ink campanelle with fresh blue crab and uni cream, and lobster fra diavolo.

Traditionalists can settle in with spaghetti alla chitarra or a proper Bolognese, then finish with tiramisu and a glass of Borgogno Barolo Chinato. The room seats roughly 350 guests, including 150 outdoor seats overlooking Annapolis Harbor, plus a second-floor terrace with panoramic water views.

Marmo serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, which makes it one of the few chophouses in the region where you can start the day with espresso and end it with a dry-aged ribeye!

Armada Pours Tequila at the Water’s Edge

Steps away, Armada brings the flavors of Mexico to the dock. The lively cantina centers on a waterfront tequila bar stocked with tequila, mezcal, and agave spirits, alongside a menu of tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, and signature Armada nachos.

The space seats 200 guests, and half of those seats sit outdoors right on the water. Acclaimed designer Patrick Sutton shaped both Armada and Marmo, so expect the same polished, transportive interiors that define Atlas properties across the region. Armada serves lunch and dinner, and it is exactly the kind of spot where an afternoon on the harbor turns into an evening.

Live Piano Music Anchors the Bar Four Nights a Week

Marmo’s bar and lounge feature a piano with a rotating lineup of Maryland’s best singers.

Live music runs Thursday and Sunday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm and Friday and Saturday from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Meanwhile, the bar itself keeps generous hours, opening at 7:00 am daily and pouring until 11:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday.

For history buffs, the setting delivers too: the hotel stands in the heart of the historic district as the only waterfront hotel in Annapolis, with overnight boat dockage for guests arriving by water.

Atlas Restaurant Group Expands Toward DC

The openings deepen Atlas Restaurant Group’s footprint in Annapolis alongside The Choptank, The Admiral’s Cup, and Boatyard Bar & Grill, plus more than 13,000 square feet of new waterfront event space anchored by the Chesapeake Ballroom.

Founded in Baltimore in 2014 by brothers Alex and Eric Smith, Atlas now operates over 50 concepts nationwide.

Washington readers should take note: The Ruxton Prime Steakhouse arrives at National Harbor in late 2026, and a DC location in the former Charlie Palmer space follows in spring 2027. Consider Marmo and Armada your preview of what Atlas is bringing to the capital.
