Downtown DC always has a reason to pull you in — and right now, it’s Gordon Ramsay and college basketball’s biggest weekend.
March Madness Final Four Makes This the Weekend to Be Downtown
The NCAA Final Four tips off this Saturday, April 4, with No. 2 UConn taking on No. 3 Illinois, followed by No. 1 Arizona squaring off against No. 1 Michigan — and the National Championship follows Monday, April 6. Gordon Ramsay Street Burger is the place to watch it all go down. During every game, they are pouring $4 Peroni beers and serving $1 wings — that is March Madness pricing that is hard to beat anywhere in the city!
Capitol One Arena Is the Place to Be All April
Beyond the Final Four, Capitol One Arena is running one of the hottest April lineups in the city — the Washington Capitals host Buffalo on April 4, Cardi B’s Little Miss Drama Tour lands April 8, Romeo Santos and Prince Royce perform April 5, Florence + The Machine takes the stage April 18, and Ricardo Arjona brings his Lo Que El Seco No Dijo Tour on April 13. Before or after any of it, Gordon Ramsay Street Burger is downstairs waiting — and Street Pizza is just steps away at street level.
Gordon Ramsay Street Burger Is Worth the Trip Alone
The signature smash burger — double patties, American cheese, pickles, and the house O.G. sauce — runs $17 and punches above its price point. Chef Ramsay himself has said the blend of beef cuts creates “a really powerful flavor,” and the menu backs that up across options like the IDIOT (braised short rib, crispy onions, BBQ sauce) and the Hell’s Kitchen burger loaded with spicy tomato chutney and Hell’s Salsa. Social Hour runs Monday through Friday from 3–6 PM with $5 beers, $7 cocktails, and $1.50 wings — the smartest pre-game deal in Penn Quarter!
Street Pizza Keeps It Simple and Seriously Good
One floor up, Street Pizza serves 12-inch pies starting at $17.50. The Don’t Tell Gordon — Mornay sauce, applewood-smoked bacon, and pineapple — is exactly what it sounds like and better than it has any right to be. The Mumbo #5 with creamy mumbo sauce and fried chicken is a DC nod done right. Round two of the tournament deserves round two of the pizza!
