I am already listening to Christmas music and I cannot wait for this!
Washington’s favorite holiday market is back for 2025, and I’m sure this year’s market won’t disappoint. I was lucky enough to attend a really great press preview at Carmine’s, and the energy is building. The DowntownDC Holiday Market is set to transform F Street NW between 7th and 9th Streets into the city’s most vibrant winter village. This cherished DC holiday shopping tradition returns on November 21 and runs daily through December 23. This is the go-to destination for seasonal cheer right in the heart of the nation’s capital. The market is free to the public and open seven days a week, with special extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays for your weekend plans.
Shop From Over 115 Local Vendors
This year, the market is celebrating over two decades of holiday magic with an expanded lineup of more than 115 local artisans and entrepreneurs. It’s the perfect opportunity to shop small and find unique, handcrafted goods. You’ll see over 20 first-time participants, including the DC Makers’ Guild, Heidi Pix, and Blue Moon Aquarius. From festive fashion and home décor to gourmet treats, you’ll find meaningful gifts for everyone on your list.
Get Ready for Fantastic Food and Festive Drinks
With 15 festive food vendors, there are endless flavors to try. Returning favorites include the viral hot chocolate from S’mores N’ More and authentic German-inspired fare from The Taste of Germany. New this year are exciting additions like Daikaya’s Kat’s King of Steaks—serving an inventive Japanese-style cheesesteak—and the crowd-pleasing Carmine’s. The Winter Chalet by Dirty Habit also returns as the market’s official bar, serving artisan cocktails, spiked hot cocoa, and mulled wine.
Experience New Holiday Magic
This is much more than a shopping trip. Shoppers can share their wishes on the DC Dream Wall, an oversized chalkboard installation. The Dov Co. Craft Café will feature creative workshops for all ages, and live entertainment will fill the main stage, presented by the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment (OCTFME). The DowntownDC BID is also amplifying other holiday events, including the National Mistletoe at Anthem Row and the Winter Skate Spectacular at the National Building Museum. Get ready for an unforgettable season in DC!
