Dessert is a Klondike Bar-inspired combination of buckwheat, chocolate, and whiskey. The compact menu offers a useful introduction to Ratino’s playful Japanese-influenced bar food without requiring a larger tasting experience.

Press Club combines the mood of a 1970s cocktail lounge with details inspired by a 1990s record shop. Founders Will Patton and Devin Kennedy play full albums instead of mixing individual tracks, giving the subterranean room a focused listening-bar atmosphere. Washingtonian’s opening report noted the pair’s experience in Michelin-starred restaurants and the bar’s distinctive glassware. The setting works especially well for date nights, music fans, and visitors looking for a DC experience beyond a conventional dining room.
