The beloved PNC Parkway Classic is transforming into the PNC Alexandria Half Marathon, a premier spring running event in Alexandria, VA. Produced by the local experts at Pacers Running and sponsored by PNC Bank, this race is a staple for the DC Metro region running community. This year marks a significant update with the introduction of the 13.1 mile Half Marathon distance, offering a fresh challenge alongside the popular Alexandria 5K race.
Experience the Scenic Alexandria Half Marathon Course
Prepare for one of the most scenic half-marathon courses on the East Coast! The PNC Alexandria Half Marathon 2025 route guides runners through the charming streets of Old Town Alexandria before showcasing nearly 10 miles of breathtaking out-and-back running along the historic George Washington Memorial Parkway. Enjoy beautiful Potomac views and the vibrant spring bloom in one of our stunning National Parks. Fittingly, the race day concludes National Park Week 2025!
Choose Your Race: Half Marathon, 5K, or Kids Dash
Whether tackling your first half marathon or looking for a fast 5K, there’s a distance for you. Choose between the signature 13.1 mile Half Marathon or the popular Alexandria 5K race. Both races start at 7:30 AM on King Street near City Hall and finish along the scenic waterfront on N Union Street. Don’t forget the little runners! The Kids Dash Alexandria, sponsored by The Kidz Docs, offers a fun 600m run for children under 12 at 10:30 AM. This fantastic Alexandria road race continues its tradition of giving back, supporting the Dunbar Alexandria-Olympic Boys + Girls Club.
