Atlas Brew Works, the DC brewery founded in 2013, is pouring Big Something Golden Strong Ale at its Bridge District, Navy Yard, and Alexandria taprooms, with the seasonal rollout that began November 1 leading to a brewery-wide celebration on Saturday, November 14, 2026.
Big Something Is a Bold Pour Built for Winter
Big Something lands at 9.1% ABV with hints of spice, subtle fruit, and a warm finish. This is a sipping beer for chalice season, so order it with something salty and settle in. Grab a 32-ounce crowler for a holiday party and let the beer start flowing. But okay, at this strength, most of us are one and done (pace yourself before the Metro ride home).
Each Taproom Suits a Different Kind of Night
The Bridge District brewery overlooks the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge with a huge beer garden, a playground, twelve taps, and DaBo Burger smash burgers with beef tallow fries, steps from the Anacostia Metro. The Half Street taproom pairs a patio with Andy’s Pizza near the Navy Yard Metro (thee spot before a Nats game). Alexandria’s Carlyle Crossing taproom also pours alongside Andy’s Pizza.
Mark November 14 for Big Something Specials
On Saturday, November 14, all three taprooms offer $5.99 16-ounce drafts of Big Something, $9.99 six-packs, and $9.99 crowlers all day. From 3 to 6 p.m., every other 16-ounce draft drops to $6.99. And… DC and Virginia residents can also order Atlas beer online for direct shipping.
