Botiwalla by Chai Pani has arrived in Tenleytown. Axios reports. Chef Meherwan Irani’s counter-service restaurant gives Northwest DC a straightforward way to build a meal around grilled kebabs, flatbreads, and street snacks.
Start With a Skewer and Choose Your Format
The Tenleytown menu lets diners order chicken tikka, malai chicken, lamb seekh kebab, or paneer tikka as skewers, naan rolls, rice bowls, or salads. Chicken tikka rolls and rice bowls are listed at $12.99; lamb and paneer versions are $14.99.
For a first visit, a roll offers a compact meal, while a bowl makes room for rice and toppings. Ask about heat levels before ordering for children or spice-sensitive companions.
Street Snacks Worth Sharing
Masala smashed potatoes cost $7.99 and come with chaat masala, lime, cilantro, and spicy ketchup. The menu also includes okra fries, cauliflower Gobi 65, and potato-fritter aloo tikki chaat.
Paneer rolls and bowls provide vegetarian options, while the kids’ selection includes grilled cheesy naan and mild malai chicken bites.
And More is Coming!
Botiwalla’s account of its Irani café and street-grill roots explains the inspiration behind the concept. Its sibling Spicewalla is also preparing a Georgetown shop at 1317 Wisconsin Avenue NW, though an exact opening date remains unclear across its official pages.
