Altair DC is scheduled to open October 15, 2026, at Arlo Washington DC, bringing seasonal American cooking and an elemental cocktail menu to the hotel’s glass-topped restaurant space.

The Atrium Gives The Restaurant A Distinct Setting

Eater’s October 7 preview describes an 82-seat restaurant from New York’s Renwick Hospitality in the former Arrels space. The official reservation page offers choices including the glass atrium, lounge and main dining room. That variety makes seating worth discussing when booking a date night or a group dinner, especially if the atrium is the reason for the visit.

The Menu Makes Room For Vegetables And Seafood

The new Altair menu includes mushroom ragu with three-cheese tortellini, honeynut squash ravioli, Chesapeake Bay oysters and diver scallops. Larger dishes include duck, steak and a pork platter for three. Those options give diners room to build a meal around sharing or individual courses. The menu is seasonal, so treat these as current examples rather than permanent promises.

Cocktails Follow An Elemental Theme

Earth, air, water and fire organize the drinks, with ingredients such as mushrooms, yuzu and roasted grapefruit. The menu marks several drinks as available in zero-proof versions, a useful detail for groups with different drinking preferences. Follow @altairwdc for updates.
