Free Virginia Beach Festival Runs Labor Day Weekend
The Virginia Beach Super Girl Surf Festival makes its Mid-Atlantic debut from Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7, 2026. The festival celebrates its 20th anniversary with more than 5,000 female athletes competing across 15 sports, including WSL pro surfing, beach volleyball, skateboarding, longboarding, lacrosse, beach soccer, flag football, BMX and a 5K race.
More than 100 professional surfers are expected to compete. Events stretch 1.5 miles from the 1st Street Jetty to the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier.
Free Concerts Bring Major Artists to the Oceanfront
Music fans can catch 22 live concerts featuring Switchfoot, CeeLo Green, Lupe Fiasco, Gym Class Heroes, B.o.B., Collie Buddz, Bryce Vine, HIRIE and more. The festival village adds a beach roller rink, food and drinks, art, speakers, brand experiences, yoga and wellness classes.
Competition is open to women across different ages and skill levels, while mentorship programs help aspiring athletes learn from established professionals. The packed schedule creates an easy Virginia Beach weekend getaway for sports fans, families and concertgoers!
Register Early for Free Concert Access
Festival admission is free, but advance registration is required for the concert area. Guests should reserve a free Concert Pass for each day they plan to attend. Entry remains first come, first served and is subject to capacity. VIP packages with premium viewing, lounge access and private pit access are also available.
