Late-night dining downtown finally has a serious anchor.
A Premium-Casual Anchor in the Heart of the Golden Triangle
Moxies DC, now open at 1111 20th Street NW, brings polished, premium-casual dining to the Golden Triangle between Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom. The room shifts easily across occasions. Business lunches land here. Happy hour lands here. A 1 a.m. nightcap lands here, too!
Since The Washington Lobbyist first profiled the restaurant in December, the operation has settled into a steady rhythm of weekend brunch service, OpenTable reservations, and a growing regular clientele drawn from K Street offices and nearby hotels.
A Globally Inspired Menu Built for Every Occasion
The Moxies DC menu reads like a tour of what works. Tuna Sushi Stack ($23), Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts ($17), and Cashew Chicken Lettuce Wraps ($22) anchor the shareables. For mains, Chipotle Mango Chicken ($34), Scottish Salmon ($38), and the Prime Rib Eye ($67) deliver consistently. Furthermore, plant-based programming is taken seriously here. The Vegetarian Power Bowl ($22) holds its own. The Mushroom Zen Bowl ($27) does the same.
Brunch, Happy Hour, and Handcrafted Cocktails Round Out the Experience
Brunch standouts include Crab Benedict ($29), Steak & Eggs ($36), and the Vegetarian Egg White Omelet ($17. featured image). Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., with $12 handcrafted cocktails and half-priced wine bottles every Wednesday. Reservations are made on OpenTable. Updates are posted on Facebook. Photos arrive daily on Instagram.
The Washington Lobbyist champions the restaurants, hotels, and operators redefining hospitality in the nation’s capital and the Golden Triangle.
