Washington, DC (June 8, 2011) – Dining establishment visionaries Chef Todd and Ellen Kassoff Gray have opened Todd Gray’s Watershed restaurant in the expanding north capitol neighborhood above Union Station. Watershed is the latest venture of the restauranteur couple known for the highly acclaimed Equinox restaurant.
Gray’s menu, inspired by traditional eastern seaboard specialties, is offered in a variety of locations within the new Hilton Garden Inn hotel. Local residents, business travelers and leisure guests alike are transported up the hotel’s commanding front lobby grand staircase, past a cascading waterfall and into the luxurious new restaurant establishment.
When you arrive, guests are first welcomed into an intimate lounge area where they can enjoy specialty cocktails, small plates and a daily raw bar selection featuring a coast-to-coast variety of oysters from Kusshis and Hama Hamas to Chincoteagues and Wellfleets. Inspired by the blue and sandy hues of the coastal seaboard, Watershed takes you out of Washington and onto a secluded Atlantic Ocean getaway. Texas-based Paradigm Design brings this space stylish and contemporary accents of glass mosaic tile, granite and brushed nickel create an urban chic setting that is modern yet comfortable.
SK&I Architects brings you floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto an outdoor patio seating 45 guests. The restaurant also provides catering services for all grand ballroom weddings, events and corporate meetings, as well as in-room dining service for hotel guests.
Watershed is located in the city’s newest Hilton Worldwide property, a 204-room Hilton Garden Inn – US Capitol featuring award-winning, upscale yet affordable hotel guest rooms, well-suited for leisure and business travelers alike in search of a home away from home in the nation’s capital.
