Washington, DC (June 2015) – With June in full swing, there are many great goings-on in the DC area; wine dinners, beer pairings, charity events, special restaurant events, and new bites to try only available this month. BEER VS. WINE – FRIDAY JUNE 12 (Begins at 5:30pm)
City Perch Kitchen + Bar – North Bethesda
In partnership with Elk Run Winery and Flying Dog Brewery, this four-course, interactive dinner includes a beer AND wine pairing that will accompany each course or “round.”

SAPPORO RAMEN 101 CLASS – SATURDAY JUNE 13 (10am-11am)
Daikaya – Chinatown
Executive Chef Katsuya Fukushima and Daisuke Utagawa are teaming up again for their interactive live culinary lecture, demo, and tasting sharing the intricate history and background of making authentic Japanese Sapporo ramen.

PRIDE PARADE VIEWING – SATURDAY JUNE 13 (Parade begins at 4:30pm)
Circa – Dupont Circle
Located directly on the parade route with a terrific view of all the festivities, patio seats at CIRCA at DuPont will be a hot commodity that day. Stake out your spot early (the parade starts at 4:30 p.m.,) order up some new nutrient and vitamin dense drinks like the Kale’n Me Softly or Matcha Matcha Man.

MY PICK! CHEF’S BEST DINNER AND AUCTION – MONDAY JUNE 15 (Begins at 6:30pm)
Marriott Marquis – Convention Center
The area’s best chefs will dish up special tastings of their signature plates in the ballroom of the new Marriott Marquis to raise money for Food & Friends.Thanks to the efforts of this year’s Celebrity Chef Chairs Jeff Black of Black Restaurant Group and Chef Victor Albisu of Del Campo, guests will enjoy tastings prepared by some of the region’s most talented chefs including: Jesse Miller, Bar Pilar; Colleen Conrad, Pearl Dive Oyster Palace; Demetrio Zavala, Lincoln and Teddy & The Bully Bar; and Andrew Markert, Beuchert’s Saloon, among other notables from the DC dining scene.

7TH ANNUAL NEWSBABES BASH – TUESDAY JUNE 16 (Begins at 7:00pm)
Warner Building Rooftop – Downtown
This year, 19 area anchor women will host the occasion from the area’s top news affiliates. This year’s beneficiary is the Celebremos La Vida! program of the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

CATOCTIN CREEK GIN AND RYE TASTING – WEDNESDAY JUNE 17 (Begins at 5:00pm)
America Eats Tavern – Tysons Corner
The first legal distillery in Loudoun County, Virginia, Catoctin Creek will be sampling their award-winning 92 Roundstone Rye and Watershed Gin paired with bites from our menu. No reservation required.
