The March Lobby-List 2013


Washington, DC (March 12, 2013) – As the weather has taken us on a roller coaster, so will this eclectic list. We’ve been loving a lot of new things, and a lot of traditional things, so this list brings together a random collection of interests and new appreciations in the hospitality industry. Please enjoy!

  1. The Gift – Humming Bird – This bright Hummingbird looks dashing as it saunters with wings outstreatched while wearing cowboy boots, and hat.   2. The Style – An Emerald Spring at Karma by Erwin Gomez – Erwin’s highly-anticipated spring makeup line Erwin Gomez Cosmetics will finally make their debut. The makeup artist who’s helped stars like Rosario Dawson and Barbra Streisand radiate on the red carpet, will now be able to bring his touch to you. Karma is located at 1104 24th St NW.
  3. The Brunch – The Curious Grape Wine, Dine & Shop Debuts Sparkling Sunday Brunch – Located at 2900 South Quincy Street, 22206 in Shirlington, The Curious Grape is pleased to debut Sparkling Sunday brunch. Patrons will experience an eclectic menu (Doughnuts with Wild Boar!) along with festive cocktails and great wines.   4. The Mix – American Juice Company 100% Natural Gourmet Mixers – People are not going to buy ingredients like pomegranate molasses, almond syrup, and elderflower extract just to make a few drinks. So cue the gourmet mixers, so anyone can savor restaurant quality cocktails in the comfort of their home. $15.   10. The Creative Space – ArtJamz New Spot – is opening a new Dupont Studio following a major relocation and expansion.   11. The New Place – Beuchert’s Saloon of Eastern Market – A former saloon-turned-speakeasy with 130+ years of history, has been resurrected by Nathan Berger, Brendan McMahon and August Paro. This will be a 47-seat restaurant serving family-farmed foods from Executive Chef Andrew Markert and old-fashioned craft drinks.
