The Jeté Society is a group of young professionals dedicated to advancing the mission of The Washington Ballet by supporting its fundraising goals and catalyzing interest in and support for its programs and productions.
Septime Webre pairs his talent with designer Liz Vandal, of Cirque du Soliel’s OVO, and composer Matthew Pierce, to create a spectacularly reimagined take on Lewis Carroll’s classic story. The world premiere of Alice in Wonderland is splendidly costumed, and gloriously danced. The show opens April 11th, 2012.
The dance party went into the late evening, with preview performances of the show. Along with photos from the evening, the video above features an interview with Washington Ballet Executive Director Peter Branch, and Michele LeBar, who sits on the Women’s Committee of the Ballet.
