Supra’s co-owners, Jonathan and Laura Nelms, will host a pre-opening preview of their forthcoming Park View restaurant Tabla DC, at Supra, the area’s first Georgian restaurant on Thursday, January 23rd at 5:30 and 7:30 pm.
[Hey! Have you seen my post on custom-made MTM clothing? Take a look, and if you place an order, they will add a free custom shirt. Just tell them The Washington Lobbyist sent you.]
Tabla DC will carry on Supra’s standard of serving top-notch Georgian fare but in a more casual setting when it opens later this winter. Chef Lonnie Zoeller and the Supra culinary team (including Georgia native Ani Kandelaki) will oversee the kitchen, which will focus on two mainstays: khinkali (soup dumplings) and khachapuri (Georgia’s beloved cheese bread).
Tabla will feature several varieties of khinkali and khachapuri, some with traditional fillings and others representing the culinary team’s own imagination.
The forthcoming preview at Supra will allow guests to preview a sampling of the Tabla menu, chat with the co-owners, as well as enjoy two glasses of Georgian wine for $35.
Tabla DC Preview at Supra. Thursday, January 23, 2020.
Tickets for the 5:30 pm event are available here, and the 7:30 pm tickets are (sold out).
