New York New York (June 5, 2014) – Sofitel North America recently debuted ‘Revealed,’ an exciting new photo exhibit by Olivier Widmaier Picasso, in its beautiful french-centric lobby space in New York.
Olivier Widmaier Picasso, grandson of Pablo Picasso and author of Picasso, Portrait Intime (Albin Michel/Arte éditions), curated the exhibit, hand-selecting the 30 photographs from the collection of Paris Match.
Among the prized photographs displayed is a black-and-white image of Pablo Picasso eyeing a dalmatian longing to climb upon his lap. Other photos feature Salvador Dalí sitting in animal exhibit at the Paris Zoo; Jeff Koons styling a BMW for the 24 Hours of Le Mans; Pierre Soulages crouching over a work in progress; Kees Van Dongen painting a posing Brigitte Bardot; and other striking images depicting Rene Magritte, Marc Chagall, Fernando Botero, Joan Miro, Jean Cocteau, Francis Bacon, and more.
The Sofitel shares with its guests and visitors that the lobby is not just a place to congregate, but a stage showcasing the latest in art and culture. ‘Revealed’ will also make a Washington, DC appearance and The Washington Lobbyist will keep you updated on the upcoming dates.
