[Hey! Have you seen my post on custom-made MTM clothing? Take a look, and if you place an order, they will add a free custom shirt. Just tell them The Washington Lobbyist sent you.]
The new look of the bar and lobby create a space surrounded with sophistication and luxury for which the hotel is known for. This is a modern take on the traditional English club, exuding warmth and comfort with refined craftsmanship and polished surfaces.
Among the gentlemanly tailored details are wooden herringbone floors, Chesterfield sofas covered in distressed leather, wooden tables studded with silver nickel nail heads, and luxe upholstery created exclusively for The St. Regis by Rockwell Group using Jim Thompson fabric.
The bar glows with dark bronze surfaces, and base moldings hold the original wood-paneled walls featuring a Venetian finish and silver accents. A dazzling leather and crystal chandelier designed exclusively for the space by Swarovski hangs overhead, creating the perfect polished ambiance.
The bar and lobby’s original 16-foot carved ceilings and graceful, arched windows have been retained, preserving the historical grandeur of the space while providing an elegant backdrop for the newly designed layout. An arched entryway has been added, opening the bar up to the lobby and creating a seamless flow between the two rooms.
Stop into this storied landmark, and position yourself in the fresh, but classic, The St. Regis Bar.
