REVIEW: Co Co. Sala Brunch

(Washington, DC) – Co Co. Sala, the casual yet refined restaurant located at 929 F Street NW, in between the shops at Metro Center and the excitement of the Chinatown 7th street corridor also finds itself in between the sweet and savory flavors found on its menu.

The weekend brunch is fun and approachable. Start with the Bloody Mary flight ($18) infused with three pours of; balsamic, wasabi and bacon. The Lox Flatbread ($18) is light yet satisfying using hickory-wood cold smoked Scottish salmon topped with dill crème fraiche.

The Crispy Creole Crabcakes ($18) are tasty, and incorporate mango salsa with an avocado cilantro emulsion.

There is also the Grown Up Grilled Cheese ($14) or the Aztec Enchilada ($14) with an avocado, shaved fennel and lamb lettuce salad and chipotle chocolate ganache splashed with fresh guava lime vinaigrette.

Lead by Executive Chef and Pastry Chef Santosh Tiptur, the menu beautifully executes well-rounded sumptuous tastes, enticing many senses from beginning to end. Grab a seat on a weekend, you wont be disappointed.
