Washington, DC (March 28, 2011) – The Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel is pleased to partner with FOTODC to present the best of the National Cherry Blossom Photo Contest from March 26th – April 10th in eclectic M Bar lounge and restaurant. To celebrate the festival and photo contest, FOTODC will host a happy hour in the hotel’s lobby bar, M Bar on Tuesday, March 29 from 6pm to 8pm.

And Tuesday, April 5 from 6pm to 8pm, the hotel will play host to the newest 2011 Put a CORC in It! installation with a wine tasting with artisanal cheeses and light hors d’oeuvres from Chef Devon Capili. Corcoran leadership and supporters will join hotel guests and friends of the Renaissance Dupont Circle to honor the artists.
During FOTODC, guests and locals alike are invited to discover the best of the contest submissions and sample Japanese infused cuisine and cocktails from Chef Capili. The special menu will include Ahi Tuna Sashimi Salad with Matsuhisa dressing, Maryland Soft Shell Crab Spring Rolls, Chicken Katsu, Cherry -Pistachio Ice cream with Grand Marnier, Pineapple yuzu-Lemongrass Sorbet with Sesame cookie. M Bar will also feature specialty cocktails including the “Kabukimono” made with Fugi Apples, the “Ukiyo-my” prepared with fresh mangos and the “Harajukism” blended with white peach juice and Sake.
The Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel and the Corcoran College of Art + Design will celebrate the synergy between art and hospitality with the third installation of Put a CORC in It! A collection of 15 contemporary works from students at the Corcoran College of Art + Design will be on display in the lounge of the boutique hotel through Labor Day, September 5, 2011.
