Marriott Wardman Park Welcomes Blue Jeans Ball

Washington, DC (April 14, 2014) – On Sunday, April 13th, The Capital Area Food Bank’s 11th annual Blue Jeans Ball at Marriott’s Wardman Park Hotel featured tastings from the area’s top restaurants, live music, live and silent auctions, all benefiting those in the Washington metro area who are at risk of hunger.

Nearly 700,000 residents in the Washington metro area are struggling with hunger, including 200,000 children. According to a study by the Capital Area Food Bank and Feeding America, hunger in the Washington metro area has increased in the last several years by over 25 percent.
