Washington, DC (July 31, 2012) – As we enter the month of August, we slowly say goodbye to summer. In the fall, there are great events that will keep you active. Two great area hotels have announced their 5ks for charity. The Mandarin Oriental will host their FANtastic March II to benefit the Amidon-Bowen Elementary School in Southwest DC on Sunday September, 9, 2012 starting at 10:00am. The Four Seasons will host their 32nd Annual Sprint Four the Cure 5k and on Saturday, September 17, 2012 at 8:00am.

The colleagues of Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C. come together with friends, family, vendors and neighbors of Southwest to raise funds to supply much-needed books and related reading materials at Amidon-Bowen Elementary School in Southwest DC.
WHEN: Sunday, September 9, 2012. (Registration begins at 9:00-9:45am):
WHERE: Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C.
COST: $35 per person, and includes: continental breakfast, morning pre-walk stretching, event t-shirt and admission to the celebratory BBQ. AND! For every $100 donation, you receive an entry into the drawing for a two-night stay in the Presidential Suite, spa treatments, dinner for up to six, and breakfast for two (valued at over $30,000).

Children may run the 100 yard dash for FREE but must register in advance.
