From March 20 through April 14, 2019, Washington welcomes the return of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, which commemorates the 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC.

The gift and annual celebration honor the lasting friendship between the United States and Japan and the continued close relationship between the two countries. In Reston, Virginia, Red’s Table – Offering two cherry blossom-inspired dished and a featured dessert to commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. First up is the savory appetizer special, a Cherry Salad with arugula, goat cheese, candied pecan, and fennel, tossed in a cherry vinaigrette, priced at $17, followed by a featured entre, Seared Pork Chop with cherry mostarda, roasted fingerling and braised kale, priced at $26.
