Joyful Time at Jingle

If there is a definitive moment in the District that officially kicks off the holiday season, it is Georgetown Jingle. Started in 2006 by the Four Seasons Hotel, this silent auction, raffle and family-friendly event brings the spirit of the North Pole right into their hotel lobby.

I caught just the tail end of this event, but the party didn’t seem to stop! Balloon animals, a photo booth and live entertainment surrounded by designer trees and local chef’s tastings kept everybody moving.

I’ll have a separate post in the interior design section of the Lobbyist site dedicated to the designer trees. Keep you posted! Happy Holidays!

In 2006, theGeorgetown Jingle was created by theFour Seasons Hotel Washington,JDS Designs, Inc., andThe Washington Design Center to raise money for pediatric oncology programs in the Washington DC Metro area. Thanks to the support of our wonderful partners the Georgetown Jingle has raised $1.3 million in support of Georgetown University Hospital’sPediatric Oncology programs, specifically the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Program (in collaboration with Duke University) and the Cancer Survivorship Program.
