Washington, DC (April 18, 2013) – Last night at the Hamilton, Jennifer Hudson was honored by the Recording Academy and Grammy Foundation at the annual Grammy’s on the Hill.
Downstairs in Hamilton Live, Clive Davis, former American Idol Judge and songwriter Kara DioGuardi, Four-time Grammy award winner Yolanda Adams, songwriters Angela Hunte and Victoria Shaw shared an intimate musical evening to honor Jennifer Hudson.
Also honored was the Librarian of Congress Dr. James Billington. Eclectic cellist Zoë Keating performed a unique rendition of the Star Spangled Banner and eighteen members of Congress also gave the audience a “singing” performance.
After receiving her honor, Hudson sang “Alleluia” and “One Night Only” from Dream Girls before jetting off to New York.
