Chef Jerome Grant Brings His Signature Story Telling Touch to ‘Jackie’ at Capitol Riverfront

Jackie Washington DC is a refreshing and polished restaurant concept with a menu created by James Beard nominee Jerome Grant. This new American bistro is located just steps away from the Nationals Stadium and the Capitol Riverfront Trail.

There is plenty of open patio space overlooking the Anacostia River and perfect people-watching views of the 700-seat Dacha Beer Garden

The interior of the restaurant has a 60s vibe to it with some mid-century modern nods and international art pieces with fun retro prints of Jackie Kennedy Onasis.


Standouts on the menu are the Virginia ham croquettes and double-fried chicken with garlic aïoli. There is a beetroot tahini and cabbage salad that is shareable, and duck meatballs with cauliflower mash that was uniquely savory.


Aptly named “Jacki-O” and “First Lady” cocktails are listed as well as a “Camelot old fashioned” with Illegal Mezcal, Milagro Reposado and smoked chili salt. Extensive drafts are also available (this is a Dacha Beer Garden restaurant after all).

They are closed Monday and Tuesday, but open Wednesday to Friday starting at 4 pm. There is a brunch menu coming soon on Saturdays and Sundays but open at 2 pm regardless.
