Washington, DC (September 5, 2012) – Hurricane Isaac has left Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, a rural community of 25,000 south of New Orleans, one of the most devastated areas by this storm. Reports say the damage is far worse than that caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Art and Soul chef/owner, Art Smith and executive chef and Louisiana native, Wes Morton aim to gather swift support for relief in this community by hosting a fundraiser on the Art and Soul patio.
Please join Art Smith and Wes Morton this Thursday for a Louisiana Shrimp Boil – Beer, Bourbon and Boudin from 8:00-11:00pm on the Art and Soul Patio
For a $55 donation, you will enjoy all the food and beverages offered. To make your reservation donation, please call (202) 393-7777 and make your way over to the Louisiana Shrimp Boil. One hundred percent of the monies collected will be donated to the Red Cross for the needs of residents in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana.
This donation is tax-deductable. Art and Soul is located at 415 New Jersey Ave. NW Washington, DC 20001.
