So many vendors, so little time, but also online.

I had a great time at the 2-day MetroCooking Show and it seemed like it was bigger than last year! With so many vendors, you could really finish up all your Christmas shopping, because there was something for everyone there. Here are my favorites that you can grab them online or in stores.

Obis One Organic Black Garlic Bulbs – 6.0 oz. (170.10 g) minimum. It is aged and fermented organic raw garlic that is all natural, has no additives and is black in color. It has a sweet and savory flavor, and is soft like dried fruit. Plus! No garlic breath and twice the antioxidants of raw garlic! (6 bulbs. $18.99) Purchase HERE.
Peg’s Salt. More than 20 common spices go into a jar of Peg’s Salt or Peg’s Pink Salt –- garlic, pepper, parsley, thyme, rosemary, paprika, and more. Peg’s Pink Salt has a higher proportion of salt in relation to spices because of the coarser grains in the Pink Himalayan and kosher sea salt blend. While both have the same savory flavor and effect, some find Peg’s Pink to taste a bit “softer” than the original. Peg’s Salt 7.5 oz jar ($9). Peg’s Pink Salt 5 oz jar ($9.50). Available at Whole Foods.
Sweet Hot Mambo Sauce. Their sweet hot has the same great taste as the original but now is infused with cayenne and habanero pepper that creates a sweet medium heat. This all-purpose sauce can be used as a marinade, glaze, dipping or finishing sauce. Bring an original taste of Washington, DC home today. 12 oz ($7.25). Purchase HERE.
The General’s Hot Sauce. Smoke Hall Foods L3C is a veteran-owned, Louisiana-based company with a simple mission: Produce the highest quality American-made, all-natural, small batch cayenne hot sauce possible, support the American farmer by growing all our peppers in the U.S., and serve the greater good by creating jobs for veterans, and by donating a meaningful percentage of our sales back to organizations that support our troops, veterans, and their families. ($21.99-$39.99) Shop online HERE.
Dave’s Sweet Tooth Coffee Toffee. Real butter, real sugar, real milk chocolate, and hand sliced almonds prepared with love, one batch at a time, every time. They do not use machines, microwaves, or assembly lines to produce our toffee. Dave’s Sweet Tooth is and always will be; Hand Made. Homemade. Michigan Made. ($16.17 – $21.00) Purchase HERE.
Red Rooster Funky Chicken Coffee. Red Rooster is a Virginia-based coffee company roasting only the highest quality beans from around the world. Established in 2010 in downtown Floyd, VA (pop 432), Red Rooster was created with the simple notion of roasting excellent coffee for the owner’s existing coffee house, The BlackWater Loft. Within two years the Red Rooster hired Head Roaster Tony Greatorex and saw the customer base stretch northward to Washington DC, Baltimore, and NYC. ($13.99) Purchase HERE.
