Washington, DC (February 4, 2015) – The nice little wine bar behind the Verizon Center has officially turned one. To celebrate, Flight Wine Bar is adding delicious new menu items and two (2!) new weekly wine specials.

On Wednesdays, guests can enjoy 35% off some of owners favorite bottles available AFTER 7:00pm. Chateau Musar’s Hochar, a red from Lebanon; Heinrich Blaufränkisch, a red from Australia; a white from France, Domaine de la Pinte Arbois Pupillin; a Hungarian white wine, Kiralyudvar Furmint; an Italian kerner from Manni Nossing; and a red wine from Croatia, Trapan Terra Mare Teran.
On Saturday evenings starting at 10:30pm, Flight will offer the a red-eye special, $7 glasses of wine from any open bottle in the restaurant. Monday gets the Happy Hour treatment from 5-11:00pm with $7 red/white, 4 draft beers at $5, and bites from $5-7.
Three new food items; Fried Cauliflower with an herbed crust and aioli ($8); Grilled Spiced Meatballs in a homemade BBQ sauce ($8) and Hanger Steak Sliders with arugula, provolone and red pepper aioli ($18) have now been added to the menu.
