If you haven’t been around Penn Quarter / Chinatown neighborhood of Washington, DC lately, I suggest you correct that error as soon as possible. The Smith restaurant has now been open since January and is serving up a straightforward menu, honest pricing and a beautiful and welcoming space in a great location.

There are a few locations based in New York, and this is the restaurant group’s first venture outside of Manhattan.
Although they have a fine rib eye, this is not another steakhouse and they might have starters and snacks, but it is thankfully not a another tapas restaurant. And that’s what I love about it. You’ll just have to check it out for yourself. 901 F St NW, Washington, DC 20004. Menu is HERE.
