Conrad Washington, DC kicks off DC’s rooftop season with the unveiling of its highly-anticipated rooftop bar and lounge, Summit the Rooftop at Conrad. A contemporary urban oasis, the rooftop venue invites guests to enjoy the stylish bar and sophisticated lounge, set against a backdrop of inspiring views of DC’s most iconic architecture when it officially opens its doors on Monday, May 20.

Situated on the 11th floor of the newly opened Conrad Washington, DC, the rooftop venue offers a curated menu of craft cocktails alongside delicious bites. With an occupancy of up to 140 guests, visitors can spend an evening at the bustling bar, or make a reservation for up to ten at one of the intimate cocktail tables in the lounge area. An unexpected escape situated above the Nation’s capital, the rooftop embodies a haven of flora in its design, featuring an array of lush greenery creating a relaxing retreat in the center of downtown DC. The venue opens daily at 5 pm with the last call at 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and 11 pm Friday and Saturday.

Drawing inspiration from classic cocktails and flavors from around the world, Lead Bartender Zach Luther’s craft cocktail menu takes a global approach that will delight both local DC patrons used to the city’s culinary cultural melting pot, as well as the discerning world-wide traveler. Highlights include Parisian Party, made of Dolin Blanc, La Colombe cold brew, Demerara, absinthe and soda; Glasgow Maid, suited with Johnnie Walker Black, Dolin Dry, cucumber, lemon, and garnished with salt; and Fitzgerald Highball with Bombay Sapphire, lemon, sugar, Angostura and soda. Sommelier Nial Harris Garcia has created a curated global wine selection, as well.
Alongside the beverage program, the rooftop bar and lounge will also feature a menu of delicious bites featuring an array of local and international flavors, including Calabrian Glazed Short Rib Tacos with charred tomatillo, pickled cabbage, cotija and Fresnos; Cobia Crudo with lime bead vinaigrette, corn nuts, sweet potato, and red onion; and crispy Avocado Fries served with a smoked pepper aioli.
