Washington, DC (April 11, 2011) – Fashion for Paws (F4P) benefiting the Washington Humane Society began in 2007 with the first spring Runway Show.
[Hey! Have you seen my post on custom-made MTM clothing? Take a look, and if you place an order, they will add a free custom shirt. Just tell them The Washington Lobbyist sent you.]
In just its first 4 years, the annual Fashion for Paws Spring Runway Show has been a smashing success, selling more than 1000 tickets each year, raising more than $1 million dollars for WHS so far and generating a mass amount of media coverage.
With the exciting move to the National Building Museum more than 1500 attendees enjoyed an over the top event with décor and design all created by Syzygy Event Productions.
Something new for the runway was the unveiling of a five piece vitaminwater zero™ inspired couture collection, created by the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) and FIDM’s graduate, Clay Sadler. The collection was worn by live models posing on pedestals stationed throughout the event space.
This event brought together cutting edge high fashionistas and animal lovers alike. This event was hosted by the Fashion Guy, Lawrence Zarian, and Pamela’s Punch’s, Pamela Sorensen. The fashion show and fundraising event featured 60 notable personalities taking their place as the models on the runway. To the love of the runway and our pets!
