Washington, DC  (July 22, 2013) – Last night more than fifty notable Washingtonian’s gathered, including special guest, Miss America 2013 Mallory Hagen, to celebrate the commence of 18th Street Films and Story House Production’s award winning filmmakers Karim Chrobog, Vincent Renner and Carsten Oblaender latest project with a purpose, “In the Sign of Cancer.”

Design Cuisine generously sponsored the event at Washington Kastles Stadium in a fully catered private VIP tent. The event was hosted by Tara de Nicolas and her new firm Georgetown Consulting Group. De Nicolas will be leading the efforts and execution for the public relations and crowdfunding campaign of “In the Sign of Cancer.”

“In the Sign of Cancer” will be a theatrical feature documentary film that looks at the global war on one of the deadliest diseases. The film features the world’s leading cancer experts, powerful first person accounts and industry insiders that will conclude with specific ideas on what each of us can do to revolutionize how we confront cancer. The filmmakers will utilize the global crowdfunding campaign slated to launch October 7th in hopes to create an international movement and platform for dialogue.
