Below is a list of great affordable takeout options, and some DC businesses who are combating the coronavirus head-on.
A great way to support small businesses and restaurants is to use various mobile app devices that make it easy to order online for pick up or delivery. These are GrubHub, UberEats, TryCaviar, and more.
And, many of these restaurants are now allowed to provide beer and cocktails to-go, so that may help when you are hosting those online happy hour meetups.

Clyde’s Restaurant Group is partnering with KNEAD Hospitality + Design launching Food it Forward, an initiative to support the hard-hit restaurant industry and provide quality food to vulnerable populations in the DMV. With Food it Forward, you can purchase delivery meals packaged by local restaurants. The meals will then be distributed to those who need it most in the Washington area by Martha’s Table.

Northeast DC City Winery is offering an employee relief fund for those affected by the Coronvavirus in DC here.
Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization with a network of 200 member food banks across the country, today announced the establishment of the COVID-19 Response Fund to help food banks across the country as they support communities impacted by the pandemic.
Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery will provide meals each weekday until schools reopen. Bayou Bakery and Real Food for Kids will post updates on their COVID response website if meals are unable to be served due to changing circumstances.
Some of Jose Andres’ restaurants in the area will become “community kitchens” and partner with World Central Kitchen.
