I was recently in the Clarendon neighborhood, a part of Arlington VA that I had not been to since 2011 when I was there getting my Masters at Georgetown, as they had a continuing studies program near the Clarendon Metro stop.
There are a lot of mainstays, and good bar crawl type restaurants and there is a new Irish bar called Colony Grill that is an import from Connecticut.
Their specialty is hot oil pizza. A thin crust-style pizza cooked with hot oil drizzled on top in a 650-degree oven. There is pizza and a full bar in this 51,000 square-foot restaurant. It is a great place to go and I suggest you check it out.
From Friday, March 12 through Wednesday, March 17, Colony Grill will offer its one-of-a-kind, thin-crust pizza topped with corned beef and cabbage. Colony Grill’s signature pizzas are priced at $9.95 with additional toppings priced at $1.75 each. The Corned Beef & Cabbage Pizza is priced at $13.45. colonygrill.com
