Washington, DC (January 7, 2013) – Griz Dwight, principal and founder of GrizForm, collaborated again with Chef Jeff Buben and Sallie Buben to bring Woodward Table, a new spot in the heart of Washington. Taking the place of the former Potenza restaurant, Chef Buben wanted to get the “old team” back together to open his latest introduction into the local restaurant scene.

GrizForm Design Architects, who are responsible for the spaces inside Estadio, Fiola, Medi, Proof, Tonic, and Sonoma to name a very few (see a full list on their site), took the Woodward Table space and provided an open floor plan. The layout of the previous restaurant included large blocks in both space and design which separated the entrance, bar, and dining room. What you will see now is a bridge of the spaces by way of a smart pipe ceiling installation consisting of copper-colored pipes running from the kitchen to the front of the restaurant. Additionally, houses pendant lights open up the space as well as a leather wrapped bar top.
Check out the 10,400 square foot space at 1426 H Street NW and don’t forget WTF, Woodward Table‘s takeout space for a quick-serve breakfast and, or lunch.
